Can anyone identify this bird?

Postby Bonita » Mon Nov 14, 2016 1:17 pm

I received this photo with a message today, but I can't find this bird anywhere on the internet to identify it. Apparently the photo was taken somewhere on the coast line of South Africa, more specifically East London (Kidds Beach). My apologies for the horrible quality.

A friend of mine quickly said it might be part of the "lyster" spiecies, but I'm not so sure.

Any help would be appreciated SO MUCH! :)

Hi Bonita, welcome to the forum.

I'll have a look a little later tonight and see if I can try ID it for you.

Cheers,
Gordon

Ok, also got some feedback from Trevor Hardaker. Looks like your bird is most likely a Bokmakierie.
