Two of the duck species in this group was also present in a stream that runs through the city of Changwon

Taking the easy ones here

Little Grebe
Common Coot
Mallard
Common Moorhen

No idea on the rest :?
Suppose the geese could be White-fronted and the first bird looks like a flycatcher/robin or maybe a redstart of sorts :?: :?: :?:

Hi Michael,

here are my takes on the above species (Unless there is another species that looks very similar to a mallard, I would assume them all to be so)

1- Daurian Redstart
2- Mallard
3- Mallard
4- Little Grebe
5- Lesser or Greater White-Fronted Goose (Dependant on size, as this is hard to discern from the image)
6- Spot Billed Duck
7- Great Cormorant
8- Eurasian Coot
9- Mallard
10- Common Moorhen

Regards,

Justin Nicolau

Thanks Guys

All I can do is to take my hat off and honour you!

I really appreciate all the help (finding the wetland and identifying the birds)

Justin, look`s like you have a lot of knowledge of birds in these areas!
What also helps a lot is posting your queries on http://www.birdforum.net/
I have had quite a bit of luck from locals giving sound advise.
Of course a field guide is imperative

Pleasure we could help Michael.

Glad you got to do some birding and set us a few ID challenges.

In fact I should go and add the two "sites" into our catalog of venues.
