Hi all,

Well, it's been a LOOOOONG time since I last posted anything here - nothing like a great lifer to get me going again. Below are a few record shots of a Red Phalarope seen this morning in Hove, UK. It has been hanging around a little kiddies play pool for about two weeks and with some decent weather today I convinced my wife to go for a drive and I am glad I did.....certainly one of my easiest lifers ever.

Just look at how close it came to all the photographers lined up around the pool:

Enjoy,

Thanks guys. And yes it was easy...my young girls even got to see it. Can't be many 4 and 2 year olds with Red Phalarope on their lists!! My eldest was actually semi-excited about it, although it took her a while to get the name right :)

More UK birding soon.....weather permitting of course (insert rain icon here)

Wow! It's a rare bird. It must be so nice to have the bird so close to shore.

Would love to see it. No picture, unfortunately.
