Birding in southern Portugal

During the first weekend of April I did my first birding in continental Europe, with a 2-day guided tour in Portugal's two southern provinces of Algarve and Alentejo.

I had a successful weekend with a trip total of 139 species, of which 34 were lifers. Below some of my favourite species, with all but the Woodchat Shrike (seen at the other end of the migration in Guinea in 2010) being lifers.
