Sandgate Second Lagoon Reserve

Hi All,

I had my first trip to this reserve last Saturday. I was in the area to try find the Hudsonian Godwit but the tide was too high when I got there so decided to walk around this reserve to see what was about.

Chatting to another birder in the one hide he mentioned that he had just seen Cotton Pygmy Goose and Wandering Whistling Ducks. I had not seen either of these species up until then and the reserve did not disappoint as I was able to connect with both of them as you can see from the videos:

I can see this reserve has a lot of potential and is definitely one I will be revisiting soon.
